Earlier this morning it was reported that a couple of the elitist kidddies from the RNC ‘Welcoming Committee’ have - OMG, OMG - been barred from entering Canada. There’s no official word on their website yet (it’ll probably be a couple days before the “Committee” agrees on the wording of their statement), but I expect the “unofficial” story to change as time goes by, as I have a hard time figuring out why the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms would have any interest in the Welcoming Committee, or be involved in any way with their being refused entry by Canadian authorities. But, hey, what do I know? I’ve only entered Canada once since 9/11 - but they let me in. (Getting back in was another story.)
Now, obviously some American authorities were involved, as is normal when you’re entering Canada. What surprises me is that they were not allowed into Canada; you’d think, were “the man” really out to get the Welcoming Committee members, that they’d have opted to hassle them on their way back into this green and pleasant land…

You sure are hostile. When a group is trying to help organize people, being restricted from traveling is an infringement of first amendment rights. You do like the first amendment, don’t you? To me, it makes perfect sense that “the man” would want to prevent people from organizing, especially internationally.
