As we noted here, 2008 marks the 150th anniversary of Minnesota’s statehood, and it looks like planning is well under way to celebrate this anniversary.
Convenient, isn’t it, that it happens during an election year, where the state government gets to blow $2 million on statewide celebrations to commemorate an event most people couldn’t have identified this time last year?
We wonder, incidentally, how much money they intend to spend to celebrate “American Indian Heritage Month”?
